Nevermore by James Patterson

The Maximum Ride Series has been on my favorite books list for a while. And then I read Nevermore.

Nevermore is the final book and the Maximum Ride series. I'm warning you now: If you haven't started reading the series, DON'T. You will be be very disappointed. If you have started the series, well, you'd want to finish it, but don't have really high hopes. As my friend said, "This is the stupidest book I've ever read!"

***SPOILER ALERT***

First of all, what's up with Fang's Gang? When Maya dies (by the way, Fang doesn't seem to care at all... He's like in love with her and then like "Oh, whatever"), Fang finds out that Kate and Star are traitors, what the heck happens to Ratchet and Starfish? Fang just walks away? Oh yeah, and Ari just appears back from the dead again for, like, the fourth time? What's up with that?

What is so weird about this series, is that it seems like no main characters ever die. Ari keeps coming back, Fang almost died, everyone thought Angel was dead, but guess what? THEY ARE ALL STILL ALIVE!!! The characters that do die are completely insignificant, or it seems like the author had no idea what to do with them. Like Maya. There was no reason for her to die! Personally I think Maya and Dylan should be together, because Dylan was made to be Max's other half, and if Maya is Max's clone....it should be perfect.

And when Fang comes back, Max bakes a cake? SHE BAKES A CAKE??? Fang walked out of her life leaving her all heartbroken with a letter, and then she welcomes him in just like that? With cake? And then Max is torn between Dylan and Fang. So Dylan goes crazy and starts smashing cars like there no tomorrow? (which for them there might not have been...)

Oh and Ari and the rest of the erasers come back again, and when Ari is killed the rest of the erasers just collapse too! Why's that? Another plot hole...

I'll jump to the end now. So everyone is in this wonderful paradise place and the world is about to end. Brilliant! I'll just relax in my treehouse when I'm supposed to be saving the world... Yeah, right.

So there I am hoping they will go back and save America from the 99% group when the sky explodes. Yeah, THE SKY EXPLODES! What the heck??? And then there's a tsunami and it seems like Max is going to die with Fang, and I think that maybe that it will be a decent ending to a horrible book, when they don't die! See what I mean about main characters dying?

And that thing about Frank holding the key to immortality. Didn't scientist study him a long time ago, and didn't realize it then? And now they come like "By the way, you have the key to immortality in your DNA. So we have to kill you. Don't worry, it's for the good of mankind."

I'm wondering what happened to the 99% group? Were they behind this exploding thing? And what happened to Angel, Gazzy, and Iggy? The only thing this book left me with was questions. And I am really mad at James Patterson...

James Patterson has written good book, but this is NOT one of them.
